Tim Hortons camp

I have sent home permission forms for the Tim Hortons camp in Quyon that will take place from April 9,10,11th.  I know many students have gone in past years, but if you have not, this is such a great opportunity. Best of all it is FREE!!!

The camp is a chance to get out of the classroom. Tim Horton Children's Foundation camp programs are designed to give children the opportunity to experience many positive personal achievements while at camp. This allows them to grow, develop independence, and return home with new found strengths and the courage to achieve the goals they set for themselves. The Foundation has three core programs that serve close to 14,000 children each year.

Please take a look at the Tim Hortons website, and let me know if you have any questions!! I really hope that every student can go because it really creates memories that last a life time and the kids come back talking about it for weeks!!

More information about logistics to come....(Pick up/drop off times at the school and packing information!)

Dinner!!!!

On March 19 there will be the fifth annual Multicultural dinner in the Symmes cafeteria. It is a great opportunity for students to try different food from many different cultures. There will also be some cultural entertainment throughout the evening .Tickets can be bought  at the door for  5, or 10 or 20$... depending on how much food you want to try. would like to encourage my students from Geography class to attend as we will be discussing it in class, The evening is not mandatory however is a wonderful experience for the whole family. The evening is from 530-930, but it is come and go as you please!
All money raised goes to support an alternative income program in Sierra Leone.
